Yoga for Primary & High Schools
Yoga is beneficial for everyone, but it is especially so for teenagers; given that these can be difficult years, both emotionally and physically, yoga can help teens find inner peace, confidence as well as ensure physical fitness.

With 15 years experience sharing yoga in Schools, Vicky specialises in these programs and makes Yoga and mindful movement approachable, fun and accessible for all. She believes these tools empower kids, build confidence and awareness that teenagers benefit hugely from during these often stressful years. Always giving the "why" so that they walk away with a toolset to manage anxiety, study and of course understand their bodies better.
We have recently developed programs for High Schools to implement for Mindfulness, bringing Yoga Nidra to classrooms in the whole school on a weekly basis and training school staff how guide their students through Basic relaxation techniques to help deal with the pressure of school exams, social interactions, poor/changing self image and all the other things that come along with being a teenager.
Kids Yoga at Primary schools is a fantastic way to cultivate awareness and appreciation for our bodies and health.
Kids Yoga incorporates Yoga practices, games, activities and storytelling to encourage young kids to be curious, active and have fun with their peers in a safe and supervised environment.
Our Kids Yoga teachers are either early childhood or primary school educators, all hold WWC checks and qualifications in Teaching Yoga to Kids. Their passion is making yoga fun and playful.

What Yoga in High Schools accomplishes:
- Improves Fitness – Yoga for teens helps in leading healthy and happy lives. As little as fifteen minutes of yoga practice can help boost health: teen yoga improves lung capacity and as a result blood circulation; it strengthens immunity; improves body posture; optimizes body functions; and boosts energy flow in the body. In addition, the stretches and bends involved in the practice ensure a well toned, fit body. According to yoga philosophy, a healthy spine creates balance and is a conduit to a sound mind. Yoga is designed to stimulate the nerves running along the spine. Poses involving twists and upside-down positions are especially effective for this purpose.
- Improves mental health- Teaches school students healthy habits and attitudes toward food, eating, physical exercise and cultivating positive family and social and relationships, with simple techniques to assist in healthy digestion, circulation, nervous system function, positive outlook, and mindfulness.
- Improves Focus – Yoga for teenagers comes with another big advantage: it helps them develop focus, concentration and improve memory. Any teenage will agree that with increasing academic curriculum and growing completion, any advantage he or she might be able to leverage would be helpful, and if it come in the same shape of a few well executed yoga poses for teens, all the better.

Yoga for Boys Schools and Sporting Teams
We feel this is an area where Boys turning into Men are neglected, they are often not given the same tools or opportunity as girls to help them grow into positive, confident and accepting Adults because they are taught that masculinity doesn't come from patience or understanding…. That it comes from being the BEST- at sport, at studies, at performance in all areas really… that makes them Men. This is where we're aiming at making a difference, to bring Yoga and many other practices to teen boys, to make them more accepting, healthy, confident and aware adults.
Over the last 10 years the numbers of Men practicing have increased massively as modern western men are realizing the benefits of increased flexibility, joint mobility and accelerated injury recovery that comes from a simple Yoga practice. Boys and young men in their teens usually develop their legs and arms through sports or weight training. However, they often overlook flexibility of the spine, back, arms, and legs. Yoga stretching poses are highly beneficial in correcting this imbalance and in strengthening muscles that are not used in strength training.
